Christmas Eve at WellSprings

All are invited to join us this Sunday at 4:30pm, for our traditional candlelit Christmas Eve service, inspired by the Netflix original film “Klaus.” This funny and poignant animated film offers both a new “origin story” for Santa Claus – and reminds us of ways we all can find connection, in deeply divided times. This service will be in place of our usual 10am Sunday service, and will be the only service that day. If you are planning to join…

Our Annual “Wild & Precious Life” service is This Sunday!

We hope you’ll join us, either in-person in Bell Hall, or online this Sunday, for one of our favorite services of the year. Each year, on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, we ask WellSpringers in different decades of life to answer the question posed in Mary Oliver’s poem The Summer Day: “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” Rather than a typical message, you’ll see fellow congregants – an 11 year old,…

Gather and Remember With Us, This Sunday

On Sunday, October 29th, we’ll gather together to hold our annual Remembrance Sunday. Our service will offer a space to welcome all whom we’ve loved and lost into the heart of our beloved community. Our Ministerial Intern, Nick Sanchez, will also offer a brief message, to ground us and open our time together. Traditionally, we share photos and videos of those departed and dear to our congregants, both via a video slide show, and at an altar set up in Bell…

New for WellCome Back Sunday: Blessing of the Backpacks

On Sunday, September 10th, WellSprings will celebrate our annual “WellCome Back” Sunday – the special service which marks the end of summer and a return to the work, school, and worship schedules we follow through most of the year. This year, we’ll be holding our first-ever “Blessing of the Backpacks” at our 10 am Sunday service. All students (of any age!) are asked to bring their backpacks to Bell Hall to be blessed during our Sunday service – and to…

This Year, at WellSprings…

We’re busy planning for the year ahead at WellSprings! Our Fall message series starts in September – but scroll down to get a taste of the conversations we’ll be having (on Sunday mornings, in YouthSpirit, in small groups, etc.) all throughout the year… Off The Fence our Fall Message Series With battles raging all around us, and voices getting louder, it’s tempting to back away from controversy and conflict. We try not to get involved, hope things will work out,…

Our May Message Series: The Muppet Theory of Everything

In 2012, a writer for Slate magazine made a provocative suggestion… that everyone in the world can be classified into one of two categories: Order Muppets, and Chaos Muppets. Order Muppets (think Bert, Kermit, Sam the Eagle) keep things organized and on track, while Chaos Muppets (Ernie, Cookie Monster, Gonzo) bring big bursts of energy and creativity. The world needs both in balance, of course – some of the oldest wisdom stories are about finding ways to resolve that eternal…

We hope you’ll join us on Easter Sunday, as we come together to celebrate! Here’s what you need to know: Sunday Service in Bell Hall Our Easter service will be Sunday, April 9th at 10 am in Bell Hall at the Montgomery School (our usual meeting place). Resource Guide for our “What Would [____] Do?” Message Series

Join us as we begin our new message series for Spring: “What Would [_____] Do?” The phrase “what would Jesus do” was everywhere in the early 1990s – a question Jesus-followers were encouraged to ask themselves, when faced with modern problems. But what do we think Jesus would do, if he were alive today? Would he be a teacher and healer? A carpenter? An activist? A leader? Would we know his name at all? What about the Buddha, or the…
