Announcing a New Coalition for People of Faith in Chester County

Many folks in our congregation have felt the call, over the past few years, to take a more active role in our local community – lending strength and support to each other, and to our neighbors. We see how our political climate is only growing more volatile by the day, and we long to be reminded of the strongest power there is: the power of Beloved Community. The power of showing up, to love and care for one another. WellSprings…

WellSprings and Better Days Ahead Outreach Team Up to Help the Unhoused in Philly

All month long in January, our HeartWorks Team took up a collection of blankets, sleeping bags, and cold-weather gear of every kind – especially winter coats. The purpose of this collection was to support a day of outreach in Philadelphia, organized by Better Days Ahead. Chris Brickhouse, of the Better Days Ahead organization, was our guest speaker on Sunday, January 21st. He told us about the homelessness crisis right here in our area, and offered more ways that we can…

Thank You for Supporting Our Angel Tree!

The HeartWorks Team delivered dozens of gifts, provided generously by WellSpringers, to Kate’s Casa last week. Each of these gifts will go to a child in need, right here in our community. Thank you, as always, for your generosity, and for making our neighbors’ holiday season a little brighter! Below are photos of the HeartWorks Team dropping off all the gifts they collected during this event.

All About Our “Neighbors & Helpers” Message Series this August

An August tradition at WellSprings returns… We see the world through our own eyes – and sometimes we assume that’s just “the way it is” for everyone. But when we engage with our neighbors, we start to realize how much our own limited perspectives never showed us. There are so many shades and colors of what it means to be “us” – to live in Chester County, or to be a Unitarian Universalist – beyond our own experiences. Once again…
