Celebrate “WellCome Back” Sunday With Our Documentary & Music Video

On Sunday, September 13th, during our 10 AM Sunday service on YouTube, we premiered two new videos as part of our “WellCome Back” Sunday celebration. WellSprings @Home: A WellCome Back Sunday Retrospective What was it like in the moments and days after Thursday, March 12th, when WellSprings made the decision to put all in-person gatherings on hold? Listen to stories from our Board members, our Staff, and from WellSpringers talking about how we reacted to the pandemic in those first…

JusticeWorks Joins the Vote Forward Campaign

Sending a Vote Forward letter is one of the easiest things you can do to increase voter turnout. It takes two minutes and one stamp, and meaningfully increases the odds that the recipient will vote. The letter is a concrete action you can take, no matter where you live, to get fellow citizens who might be unlikely-to-vote, to the polls. Fellow WellSpringers have already been writing letters, and we’d love to get more people involved. Vote Forward has a goal of…

“WellCome Back” Looks Different…

On September 13th, join us online for an annual WellSprings tradition: WellCome Back Sunday! Our service will still be all-ages, and it will still kick off the new church year… but a few other things will be different: We’ll gather on YouTube at 10am, as one big all-ages community. There will be no YouthSpirit on Sept. 13 – but you will see YouthSpirit friends dancing to the music and taking part in our service! We’re working on sending everyone at…

Speaking Up and Showing Up Against Racism

In 2020, we’ve seen a huge new wave of national attention focused on racial justice. More people are waking up to the need for deep, spiritually rooted and systemic change, and are wondering what they can do. This small group will be different than most at WellSprings. Recognizing the long-term nature of this work, we will gather twice monthly from September through February for both discussion and practice sessions. In between sessions, participants will be asked to read, watch, and…

YouthSpirit Home Packets Sent Out to WellSprings Families

With social distancing measures still in place, our YouthSpirit friends have been meeting online over Zoom since March. In an effort to make the YouthSpirit experience feel more “normal,” this week, special packets were sent out (or in some cases, hand delivered) to families. Our hope is that families and kids get a chance to explore the ideas and materials provided. There are three main themes: Flight & Wind Outdoor activities with a social justice twist Seed paper in the…

WellSprings Canned Food Drive

Our HeartWorks Team is running a canned food drive, with a social distancing twist. Shop when you can, buy what you can, and drop off at a local food bank of your choice. Here’s the complete message from HeartWorks: HELP DONATE CANNED FOOD AND NON-PERISHABLE ITEMS THROUGH THE MONTH OF AUGUST                              Goal:  A Community Food & Fundraising effort to support people facing hunger and the food banks who help them.  [thermometer] So far we have raised $[therm_r] towards our $[therm_t] target! Celebrating our Resilience, and Planning for the Rest of the Year

Greetings from the Generosity & Gratitude Ministry, This has been quite a season at WellSprings, as we’re sure it’s been for you, too. Sometimes it helps to take stock of all we’ve done, and recognize just how much we have to be grateful for—our adaptability, our tenacity, and our care for each other—amidst it all. Take a moment, if you’d like, to do that for yourself today. Make a list, and let yourself be grateful and astonished by it. What…

Send Us A Shout!

Summer is here, which means WellSprings youth and WellSpringers of all ages have many opportunities to get outside and have fun. While our kids aren’t connecting in person right now, we are still doing a lot to keep kids connected. Our YouthSpirit Meetings happen every Sunday at 9 am, our Teen Game Nights happen a few times every month, and we recently offered a Netflix watch party for a Spiritflix family feature. And we still hold space for our young…

As part of this ongoing initiative, CCF planned to deliver a gift filled with goodies to each graduating senior, as they move on to their next endeavors. Our goal was twofold: 1. Provide every CCF senior (that’s 47 young adults) with a $20 gift card.2. Provide every CCF senior with a handmade graduation card.…
