Yes, Leadership is for You!

We truly are a welcoming community and your gifts are appreciated in every way imaginable! What is also true is your gifts of leadership are returned to you tenfold. Many leaders describe their experience here as life changing. One significant reason is that our practices at WellSprings include welcoming imperfect leaders! Leaders Community members promise to support each other while walking the path of spiritual growth together, and to treat our moments of frustration, failure, and fear as learning experiences.…

YouthSpirit Holiday Treats Project for Chester County Futures

Just before the holidays, YouthSpirit kids assembled 220 Holiday Treat Bags for students and faculty at Chester County Futures. Donations were kindly made by WellSprings in the weeks prior. Each bag was then lovingly filled with a candy cane, hot chocolate, mini-marshmallows, and a hand-written or hand-drawn note. We recently received some great photographs of smiling students with their treat-bags. Thank you to WellSprings kids and adults alike for bringing some holiday cheer to CCF and making these smiles possible.

Our Coat Drive to Benefit Chester County Futures was a Great Success!

Our HeartWorks Team received a lovely note of thanks and a photo from Chester County Futures, one of our partner organizations. They came to us earlier this season with a special request for approximately 80 winter coats. They needed help outfitting children and teens in their program, who might otherwise have to go without. We’re so glad we were able to help meet this acute need in our community. Members of our congregation piled up dozens of gently used winter…

WellSprings and Local Police Team Up to Help a Family in Need

Part of WellSprings mission is to spread generosity and love – even if it means crossing state and county lines! This was illustrated beautifully when our Heartworks Team received word from the Coatesville Police Department that there was a local family in need of some emergency assistance for the holidays. One of the items most urgently needed was a working refrigerator, and two of our congregants who live in Delaware came through with flying colors. So many thanks are in…

What’s the Small Groups Team All About?

At WellSprings, when we say “Small Group,” what we mean is a place where we gather together to deepen our spiritual connections and our connections with other WellSpringers. We believe that our Small Group offerings are one of the many special things that set us apart from other congregations, and make us uniquely “Us.” Anyone who’s participated in one of our Springboards, SoulBites, retreats, Apple Tree gatherings, or any other Small Group offering knows that it’s about a lot more…

HeartWorks Winter Coat Collection

Our community partner, Chester County Futures, has asked us to help them meet a special need this winter: among the high school students enrolled in their programs locally are 77 teens who need a cold-weather coat. The size breakdown of needed coats is as follows: Small 17 – Medium 33 – Large 20 – X-Large 6.  In order to meet this unusual but very important goal for CCF, if you can place a collection box at your place of employment, we’d be grateful for that as well! Whether for…
