In the midst of an unprecedented opioid epidemic and a spike in the occurrence of other addictions, this year’s Expo is devoted to supporting multiple pathways of recovery. This day-long event will offer important perspectives, share vital information, and create new connections for people interested in this healing work. The Expo is for you if:

  • You’re looking for support in recovery.
  • You’re caring for yourself or a loved one who's struggling with substance use disorder and/or other addictions.
  • You’re wanting to deepen your opportunities for spiritual growth and personal development.
  • You’re interested in the connections between mental health, trauma, and recovery.
  • You’re looking to raise awareness and get involved in alternatives to the War on Drugs that support the destigmatization of addiction so that more people who need help can get access to recovery resources.

The Addictions and Recovery Expo 2017 is hosted by WellSprings Congregation, a Unitarian Universalist faith community serving Chester County, and is dedicated to shedding light on the stigma attached to substance use disorder and supporting people whose lives are affected by addiction. The Expo will create space for compassionate healing by hosting more than 40 local addictions and recovery professionals, peer and support groups, and four notable speakers. There will also be a session for recovery-informed yoga and mindfulness meditation.
